Chasing Dragons
Why chasing Dragons? Well it gives us scope to travel wherever we like and visit each and every village, town and city wherever we may be. Of course, Dragons can have lairs in the countryside, in caves, bury their eggs in sand which means that in our quest we must leave no stone unturned.
Chasing Dragons can loosely be described as living the dreams of a long past childhood. Searching out blazing red sunsets, misty mysterious rivers and lakes, hearing the first birdcall of the day and having all the time in the world to find these moments.
I finally decided that I had worked enough years to pat myself on the back and take early retirement and go in search of my dragons. My departure papers arrived and I announced with glee that my last working day will be 8 September 2006.
I was elated, my colleagues were happy for me and Patrick is already planning our first expedition.
We are going to live in time with the seasons and as I leave work on 8 September for the last time, we intend to start our chase in the north, a chase that will, we hope, lead us to the four corners of our island. We will be recording the highlights and any lows of the chase in this Blog.
Patrick and I are teetering on the edge of a whole new life that is going to start on 9 September 2006, we will be visiting some beautiful places where we know we will meet some wonderful people and we’re both looking forward to the experience.
